Tim Hagman, AIA, Principal of Hagman Architects, settled in the heart of Colorado Rocky Mountains upon completing of his Architecture degree at the University of Washington For over 30 years, he has been reinventing and refining architecture
in the Western United States. His work represents innovative applications of green
materials as he combines unique regionalism together with modern appeal.
Aesthetics has always been essential for exemplary architecture, states Hagman.
More importantly today, the inclusion of ethics is essential for responsible and ecological
building design.
Tims design philosophy and leadership, together with responsibility toward green architecture, are the key elements in his firms numerous awards for design excellence, as well as repeated coverage in national design and architectural publications. These include Architectural Digest, Architectural Record and Progressive Architecture.
He has successfully used his extensive design and construction experience on a wide variety of special projects throughout the western United States and abroad, including such locations as Canada, Baja Mexico, Japan, and Europe. Projects include mountain and seaside resort hotels, municipal and public facilities, commercial and retail developments, single-family custom residences, and multi-family projects. Currently, all projects incorporate and emphasize green design concepts of recycling, sustainability, and energy efficiency.
Tim spends his free time in the summer training and racing bicycles, as well as kayaking and hiking. During the winter, youll find him skiing Aspens most challenging slopes with the same passion and enthusiasm that has inspired his designs for years.
