Kurt Carruth
Kurt brings a grand dose of creative energy to Hagman Architects. After receiving his B.A. in political science from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennesee, he then attended the University of Texas to receive his Masters of Architecture degree. With over ten years of experience in design and production, Kurt has worked on projects including corporate commercial, custom residential and resort projects, both in Texas and Colorado.
As a father of three children under the age of 7, he has great experience in managing personalities, problem solving, and putting out all kinds of small fires.
If you ask Kurt what architecture means to him, hell respond, Having or designing a piece of Architecture, is a way of stepping out of who, or where, we are in our lives. Or perhaps it is fully stepping into who and where we are in our lives. How does the space make you feel? It is not the size, finish or cost, but how a person experiences the spaces, that is important. It is a feeling that is hard to describe, but when youve achieved it, you know.
Kurt will share with you that the working relationships we create at Hagman Architects are so important. As a firm, he states, we believe the design process is something that should be fun. We strive to have our designs reflect the personalities of our clients, but also to push the designs to places our clients may not know they want to go. The point of the work we are doing, is that in ten years down the road, you still cannot wait to arrive home to the space that was created. We like to turn our clients into friends, and the list of friends is growing. We must be doing something right.
